On December 15 Amanda and I headed down to the Georgia Aquarium for a company Christmas party. The office atmosphere is a little different than most, so it wasn’t just the company I work for. The (former) CEO has started more than a few ventures and chooses to share one single office space across multiple companies. So we had quite a few people there for our little shindig.
We had the entire aquarium to ourselves for our self-guided tour from around 5pm to 7pm. That was really nice because there weren’t any kids running around being loud and we never had to wait in line to see any of the tanks.
Some of the coolest things we saw were the jellyfish, sea anemones, baby sharks, and beluga whales. Amanda actually petted one of the baby sharks in the tank as it swam around. We sat there for a few minutes try to get a picture of me petting one but they wouldn’t swim by very often so we gave up.
It was a pretty great night. I always enjoy the office-wide and company-wide functions we have.
Have you had any cool office outings for Christmas or another occasion? Where did you go?
